There was a mockingbird in our backyard recently that had an amazingly varied repertoire. I just got thinking about them mocking us, and hence came this cartoon.
My wife almost cried when our oldest son’s first “word” was “dada”. I tried to convince her it wasn’t actually a word, but I think she thought I was being disingenuous. I was.
After having heard of “Last of the Mohicans” all my life I finally read it recently. Buy, that was a long slog! Glad I did, but doubt I’ll do it again.
I think it has gotten better. I’m not seeing as many couples out on what looks like a date and staring at their phones instead of talking to each other.
As a child I used to tell this joke and had no idea what it meant. The same can be said for many other jokes I told. Some of them I’m not even embarrassed by now!
