I think this one would be pretty good. Too bad Don Meredith isn’t around to play the lead.
Pitching Washers
My family did a lot of pitchin’ washers for many, many years. Don’t know if my siblings still have their sets, but mine eventually fell apart. Might have to build another set one day.
Hummus Up a Song!
My wife really likes hummus. I’ve found a couple flavors I like, but on the whole I am not a fan.
Take a Stand! Take Two!
I’ve felt left out on the last few boycotts because they were of companies I didn’t patronize anyway.
Speaking Wisdom
I owe Phydeaux’s great pronouncement there to my father-in-law, may he rest in peace. Always loved that line.
Studying the Classics
It’s been said that the Rockford episode “The House on Willis Ave” is the best TV ever written, but personally “The Farnsworth Stratagem” is the best. Great TV show, either way.
A New Pandemic!?!?
I’m glad we’re past most of the lunacy, but I know some sad people who are still afraid to go outside. Even if it’s because you’re afraid of death, how is being confined to your house much better?
If the Name Fits
It’s weird how many people didn’t get this strip. And I was expecting some pushback on the concept of husband-abuse but got none.
Turning books into Movies
There are books that have been turned into movies that I enjoyed (Lord of the Rings, Chateau Bon Vivant, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Natural, just to name a few), but “Field of Dreams”–based on the novel Shoeless Joe–is the only movie I’ve ever seen where I thought it was equal to or better than the book.
The Mark of Crazy
I enjoy both “Wars” and “Trek”, but the original 6 Wars movies are the best and the original series of Trek is the only one I can get into now.
