I admit, I’ll sometimes pull out a Christmas song in the off-season. Sometimes even a whole album of them.

I drew this many months ago, because I have learned that when I have a good idea I need to draw it and not depend on myself to remember it when the time comes. If you had Doctor Tuttle in your local newspaper, you would have seen this strip a week earlier!

My daughter-in-law, who is a counselor (and a wonderful human being) was surprised to get Christmas off this year. We’re so excited! (If you had Doctor Tuttle in your local paper, you would have seen this before the holiday!)

As a kid, I can remember we discussed every aspect of the holiday, from religious to secular. Yes, we talked toys most of all, but we did touch on the other aspects.

Thankfully, we ate up the turkey pretty quickly this year. And we’re having omelets for Christmas. (No turkey in sight!)

It’s been a running joke through the years that the bug (he’s in most of the strips, have you noticed?) is a very good gift-giver.

For those who are thinking this is a riff on “What Child Is This?” it’s not. It’s from a song called “The Peace Carol”.

I bounced this one off some professional counselors I know. They thought it was funny, and a good motto.
