I can’t use this excuse at work because I am on my 3rd boss in four years and fourth corporate overlords. And yes, I have been at the same job the whole time (I’ve not been job-hopping, the job keeps hopping on its own).
I have long wondered about this. On the day I drew this, it was a Friday and I had been sitting at a light when the tornado sirens went off. No one seemed to think anything about it. If it had been a real emergency, I don’t know how long it would have taken us to realize that.
This seemed appropriate for the times as the “impeachment proceedings” appear to me to just be a Rorshach test for the voting public (with no right answer).
Both homeopathy and “real” medicine involve a lot of placebo effect. I’m not saying they’re equal, but that often neither will work if the person doesn’t believe they will.
OK, the joke is good, but looking at the strip now I think maybe I should have left out Penn saying “Um” because the way I drew it too many people think it’s the bear saying it.
