I did a strip years ago where the punchline was “root bier float” and I had so many people contact me because they didn’t know what a bier was. I was really surprised
We barely had winter this year, so it would have been doubly hard to curl. And no one got sick at our house, so we weren’t hurling, either!
This was inspired by all the people these days who seem to be looking for a reason to take offense at something.
Why DON’T we usually consider the British when we think of island people?
