This was inspired by our church having a chili luncheon one day after service recently. I was really glad it was AFTER!

I could have done this with Tuttle and the gang, but I hadn’t drawn Burt & CO for a long time. Kinda shows, huh? Still I think the point is well made.

I thought about wording it in such a way as to come up with “sects”, but it just didn’t flow.

It’s that Season

I was pouring myself some cough syrup one day and realized that, in the little dosage cup, it looked a lot like our communion juice on Sundays.

Christmas Comes Late

I really did think of this one in January. I thought about writing a note to myself and doing the strip next December, but I never see such notes again.

Meth-odism

Thankfully, the Methodists I know have liked this strip. Is that scary?

A Little Light Learnin’

If my younger son had had his way, this is what Sunday School would have been like. Now that he’s a Sunday School teacher, I think his kids are getting a better education than the adult class.

Incentives

I was always terrible at the Scripture-memory contests as a child. I knew kids who I think could have gotten this lollypop.

Trophy Hunter

I know people who are trying to figure out a way to hold on to some item (or items) from this life. I wasn’t really trying to make a deep point, though it seems to have worked out that way.
