Doctor Tuttle is in!
Sam White has been drawing comics and writing for as long as he can remember, with Charles Schulz and Louis L’Amour being his two biggest influences. Working now in the medical field, Sam sees a lot that needs to be commented on — and hence Tuttle, the doctor and friend to a whole slew of crazies. Tuttle’s and DoctorTuttle run in several newspapers in Texas. Sam’s novels can be found at garisonfitch.com.

Doctors’ Office Upgrade

Such a thing might actually help the psychiatrist, if he let the patients use it.

Foreign Food

I’m guessing you can make refried beans from coffee beans. I hate coffee, so I would never try, but if you try it, let me know if it worked.

First Thing in the Mornin’

Yes, you herpetologists, I know this isn’t possible. But then, turtles almost never talk to basset hounds, either, but no one ever complains about that.

Yule Dance. I Just Know it

The thing is, the tune “Yule Dance” makes me feel like dancing … and I’m no kind of a dancer, having all the rhythm of your average squash

I Remember Her!

I’m kindof surprised I didn’t get an email from someone complaining about me using the word “booboisie” in a family newspaper.

Win-Loss

When you look at playing a 162 game season, among professional players (really good players), it’s almost surprising to me that we don’t have more ties.

Winners and Loeser and Tie-ers

I am impressed by all the stats that sports mark these days, but kind of feel sorry for the guys who have to notice them. “Another slider. And another slider.” “No, that was a curve!” “Wait, what did he throw while we were arguing about the slider?” “Maybe a fastball?”

Scrabblarski

By the end of “War and Peace”, I had pretty much given up on keeping the names straight. Enjoyed the book, though. Will I ever read it again? I doubt it.

7th Inning Stretch and nap

I like that Picadillo, who is usually the intellectual leader of the characters, is just as committed to this insane idea as everyone else.

A Right Fielder’s Dream

In the majors, they often put their best outfielder in right field, but in adult softball, it’s still where you stick the guy who’s more liability than asset. I know, because I have played a LOT of right field.
