When Being a Letterman Was a Good Thing

It’s not that all jocks are dumb. But it is an easy generalization to make because the ones who don’t get it make your point.

Shouldn’t there be a rule that all books about soft shell turtles be released in paperback? Or even cloth?

I looked it up to see when Zenith TVs were around. I remember having one when I was very little.

They used to all be in color. I’m not sure why this one is.

Maybe that was what my writing career needed: a doghouse! Too late now.

I thought about giving him Snoopy’s typewriter, but every author has their own way of doing things. I wonder if there’s anything in the bowl?

The fun part was trying to come up with the joke. I didn’t want to just rip one off from someone else.

I like a good crust, but I still prefer whatever is in the pie. Crust is just to keep you from getting the pie everywhere.

I had to explain this one to my sons, who were not familiar with Fotomats or Snow White. Except that they have a cousin named that.

I was a little worried that this strip might offend someone, being a “family cartoon” as it is. Not a peep.
