I have a good friend who actually thinks the government is a good solution for most problems whereas I, on the other hand, think government is the cause of most problems. Or, at the least, it exacerbates them.
This seemed appropriate for the times as the “impeachment proceedings” appear to me to just be a Rorshach test for the voting public (with no right answer).
A friend of mine said this about one of the candidates in the last presidential election. I asked if he was still going to vote, since the other candidate was clearly a liar, too. He just laughed and changed the subject.
I think congressmen (and women) should only make as much money as the median income in their home district and are banned from being lobbyists after leaving office. Oh, and they get the same health care as the average person back home, too.
Have you ever seen a protester, maybe even one whose cause you agreed with, that made you think, “Yeah, I wanna get to know that guy”? They all just look so angry and unpleasant.
