There are books that have been turned into movies that I enjoyed (Lord of the Rings, Chateau Bon Vivant, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Natural, just to name a few), but “Field of Dreams”–based on the novel Shoeless Joe–is the only movie I’ve ever seen where I thought it was equal to or better than the book.

I am a big fan of the original iterations of both Wars and Trek. The recent iterations of Trek have left me cold and the recent series of Wars are kinda “meh”.
