Initial Assessment

I think of this every time I have to do an “initial assessment” of a patient at work. I mean, it should take like 2 seconds, right?

What’s THAT Smell?!?!

Inspired by an air freshener my wife plugged in recently. When she first fired it up, I really did check to see if one of the cats had thrown up somewhere. BTW, these people are Spalding MacGregor and … his wife, residents of my old comic strip “Cottage & Company”. It’s been so long since I drew her, I’ve forgotten her name.

I think, for the most part, people are better at using turn signals than they were a few years ago. I find this strange because how do they find the time while texting?

Apparel with Intimacy Issues

Some people are probably wondering about this strip as the characters don’t appear to wear clothes. I think what we see are their clothes and they probably look completely different underneath.

Comforting the Living

Yes, I realize we don’t know everything, but I hate doing a funeral for someone for whom there is no reason to think they have gone on to something better–and many indicators that they definitely haven’t. On a side note, wouldn’t “We put the FUN in FUNeral” be a great slogan for a mortuary?

I guess I should reserve judgment until I see Star Wars IX but JJ’s track record does not give me confidence.

No Liars Aloud

A friend of mine said this about one of the candidates in the last presidential election. I asked if he was still going to vote, since the other candidate was clearly a liar, too. He just laughed and changed the subject.
