Doctor Tuttle is in!
Sam White has been drawing comics and writing for as long as he can remember, with Charles Schulz and Louis L’Amour being his two biggest influences. Working now in the medical field, Sam sees a lot that needs to be commented on — and hence Tuttle, the doctor and friend to a whole slew of crazies. Tuttle’s and DoctorTuttle run in several newspapers in Texas. Sam’s novels can be found at garisonfitch.com.

Hallmark Movie Binge

I know who people who watch every one of those movies. And I know people who think such watching is a sign of the end of our culture. I think it’s just funny.

Fun With Catheters

When sitting in interdisciplinary team meetings, I’m the one cringing when the talk turns to catheters, as it often does.

For those uncultured-types, this is a reference to both “The great Waldo Pepper” (9th greatest movie of all time) and “Where’s Waldo?”

Lizards 1 – Salamanders 3

I think this started because I had been reading about the differences between the two. Probably. That’s usually how a strip like this comes about.

iChart?

When I go to the eye doctor and he has me read from this chart, how do I know he knows what’s written there. I’m looking at the chart, not paying attention to whether he is or not!

What’s That Name Again?

I have found that it is fashionable in some circles to bash Lucado’s books saying the theology is simplistic. I think those who say so just want to dismiss his work and not deal with it.

Public Discourse

One of the problems with, for instance, "hate speech" is that the word "hate" has become so ubiquitous as to barely have any meaning anymore.

Mark the Halls with Movies, Tra-la-la-la

I have never watched an entirety of one of those movies, but as I visit patients, that’s often what’s on TV in their room. In those half-hour blocks, they all look the same.

Such a thing might actually help the psychiatrist, if he let the patients use it.

Foreign Food

I’m guessing you can make refried beans from coffee beans. I hate coffee, so I would never try, but if you try it, let me know if it worked.
