Some people are probably wondering about this strip as the characters don’t appear to wear clothes. I think what we see are their clothes and they probably look completely different underneath.
Yes, I realize we don’t know everything, but I hate doing a funeral for someone for whom there is no reason to think they have gone on to something better–and many indicators that they definitely haven’t. On a side note, wouldn’t “We put the FUN in FUNeral” be a great slogan for a mortuary?
A friend of mine said this about one of the candidates in the last presidential election. I asked if he was still going to vote, since the other candidate was clearly a liar, too. He just laughed and changed the subject.
If you don’t get this joke, ask your parents … or grandparents. Also, I miss the discussions of woofers and tweeters and analog vs. stereo and what kind of cactus spine makes the best turntable needle.
We have a color copier at work that does incredible work … sometimes. As a counterfeiting tool it would be extremely unreliable. I think I thought of this strip one day while swearing at it for crumpling another important document.
Or maybe Dave Ramsey defaulting on a gambling debt. Or a politician keeping a promise.
