Sam White has been drawing comics and writing for as long as he can remember, with Charles Schulz and Louis L’Amour being his two biggest influences. Working now in the medical field, Sam sees a lot that needs to be commented on — and hence Tuttle, the doctor and friend to a whole slew of crazies. There’s a dentist office near here that’s in what clearly used to be a gas station. I am all for the re-use of old buildings, I just think this dentist should have gone to more links to make his building look less like what it used to be.

I know people who are heavily invested in the C vs A fight of the first panel. I can generate interest in the debate, but ultimately, I’m not enthused enough to take a side. The ironic thing is, John Calvin wouldn’t recognize the modern day “Calvinists” and Jacob Arminius would probably disown the Armenians.

Novelizations

There are people who think this way. Who didn’t realize “The Hobbit” (and LOTR) were loosely based on existing books. But now, I’m surprised they didn’t come out with watered-down, simplified novels for the movies. Publishing thinks less and less of it’s readers and is mandating that authors not use compound sentences, keep the paragraphs short, and write everything at an 8th grade level. Are they correct in thinking so low of their audience, or are they trying to make their readers dim?
